Today’s party is Murder at the Nir Cantina, hosted by Dakota. Our host and his high school friends had been separated for a few years. They had been to foreign countries, gotten married, and gone to college in different states. But a deadly night of intrigue brought them all back together.
Dakota tells us,
“We were finally all back together in our hometown, and for New Year’s Eve we decided to throw the murder mystery party.”
Everyone was having so much fun that the 90 minute party turned into 2 1/2 hours! Dakota turned the clue hunt into an Easter egg hunt by preparing 20 eggs. Five with clues, five with extra points, and 10 with game money.
“That made the clue finding more fun!”
The menu consisted of Star Wars themed Sweet and Sour Meatballs that were found online. The musical highlights for part one included bar music – Piano Man and the Cheers theme, while part two had to do with murder – Heathens and Cool Kids.
All in all, Murder at the Nir Cantina made for a great best friends reunion party.
“It was a total blast!”
Thanks to Dakota for sharing his party and choosing Playing With Murder to supply the game for the night!
