\nToday’s featured party is Don Carassino and the Murdered Mobster<\/a>, hosted by Magdeline. What better way to celebrate your husband’s birthday than with a surprise murder mystery party!\n<\/p>\n

\"Happy<\/p>\n

Four couples were invited and they all confirmed. After a group email, where characters were assigned and given a short description, their roles were personalized in order to reflect that individual characters interests. Our hostess explains, <\/p>\n

“For Lorenzo Pennino, the Don’s chauffeur, I added “He has a penchant for sailing and skiing. He has an obsession for stilettos. In real life, Lorenzo is coupled with Roxie “Stiletto” Russo.” She also had personalized lines.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nAfter sending her husband on an errand, the guests arrived and were given their party favors. The men received cigars and the women were given gaudy costume jewelry. The theme from “The Godfather” was playing in the background.<\/p>\n

“After my husband came in, and we greeted him with a yell of “SURPRISE” and some raucous applause, he was given his own costume. This consisted of a fedora and vest.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nGuests had folders with name tags on them and character sheets inside. With 10 people at the party, our hostess served as narrator and another male guest was an investigator. <\/p>\n

“The length of the game was perfect. Long enough to have a good time with the plot and characters, but not so long that guests were bored. Everyone got into character and we never stopped laughing!”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nThe menu included lasagna, breadsticks, antipasto, and wine. Since it was her husband’s birthday, the men retired outdoors to enjoy their cigars on the deck after having cake.\n<\/p>\n

“ Don Carassino and the Murdered Mobster<\/a> was the best mystery party I have ever given and I’ve hosted many. My guests, who have attended them all, unanimously agreed!”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
