Arrgh, mateys! Today we join our piratess (pirate hostess) as her crew of HR scallywags prevents a murderer from escaping during A Pryce in Blood<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A Pryce in Blood<\/a> made for a fun HR social event via Zoom for these office workers.<\/p>\n

Our hostess tells us,<\/p>\n

we dressed up in pirate headwear and had fun going through the mystery. I played pirate music, added virtual backgrounds, and hyped up the event the week before with pirate themed sayings. Some guests added to the ambiance with bottles and steins like pirates would use.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"Intro\"<\/p>\n

In order to remember where they were in the game, and stay on track, our hostess made a Power Point to go along with the flow of the game. Since this was her first murder mystery, she says,<\/p>\n

I would either allow more time for guests to tell their bio or, as the host, I would do a longer intro on each person. I expected the individuals to do more talking and throw in more info on their own. Overall, super fun and I will do more of these as HR social events.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Players changed their names on screen to match their character name. Formal email invites were sent out and the office chatrooms were filled with pirate lingo to keep everyone thinking about the upcoming event. From the photo below, it looks like everyone was ready to play and had a great time.<\/p>\n
