Today we feature Murder In Manhattan, hosted by Chris. Upon entry, guests collected their badges and prepared for an evening of murder and deceit. Guests were marked off at a lectern and everyone was offered drinks.
From the host:
“We went with 20’s themed costumes as it distinguished the business and other upper class characters from the others. It was amazing to see everyone’s costumes all very well 20’s themed with lots of tassels, feathers, pearls, and even an old camera! “
Characters spread out to gather information about each other. As the evening went on a “blackout” occurred and the scream of the victim was heard.
“The scavenger hunt lasted only a short time but some characters decided to deliberately withhold evidence pertaining to their characters until pressed by the group. After a lengthy discussion, each person was given the opportunity to read all evidence and make their mind up on who the killer was.”
Each player cast their votes for the killer, best actor, and best costume. Our host says,
“The votes were very close across all categories with no one voting for themselves!”
The killer was discovered however and the awards were handed out.
Some of the items on the menu were: Jalapeño poppers, panchetta wrapped asparagus, mint yogurt, mini toasts, mini cupcakes, and champagne martinis.
It looks like this Murder in Manhattan was a rousing success and great fun was had all around. Thank you to the host, Chris, for choosing Playing With Murder!
